2010 Product Innovations - Network Products Guide
What makes it Innovative? The Wireless USB to VGA with Integrated Audio from Cables To Go is the only UWB (ultra wide band) wireless adapter on the market for transmitting VGA and audio signals through a single transmitter. Because it uses UWB the transmissions are much more secure and multiple devices can be used near each other without creating interference between devices. For example, in a school you can use this in each classroom. In an office it can be used in each conference room, and in a home setting you could have one on each TV. Without UWB technology you would have a transmission from one room creating interference in surrounding rooms. The Wireless USB to VGA with Integrated Audio also supports multiple association methods between the transmitter and receiver including already being paired out of the box and auto discovery. Other products require cable association, which is limiting when switching among multiple laptops, particularly in a conference room or in a classroom environment where the receiver may mounted to the ceiling. It supports dual screen modes so different content can be shown on the laptop than what is shown on the display. This provides the user with an additional screen from which to work or can also simply be used to play a DVD or other presentation to the display only, minimizing the use of laptop resources.
Targeted Users: Education (classrooms), corporate and home users.
