What it does? ThreatLinQ is a supplemental service to the TippingPoint® Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) that provides assessment of threat and filter data and so organizations can designate security policy changes as needed across their TippingPoint IPS deployments.ThreatLinQ uses real-time threat data derived from a worldwide network of listen-only IPS-deployments. These devices sit outside customer deployments and record attack traffic targeting these organizations (before it hits their live IPS). Data about these attacks is sent to ThreatLinQ where other customers can see what attacks are most prevalent for their industry or where attacks come from then adjust filter settings accordingly.
