What it does? Director is a high-port-density data monitoring switch. It enables a centralized pool of monitoring tools to be shared across a large number of network links. Over subscribed monitoring tools are relieved using Director filtering capabilities. Monitoring tool investments are leveraged across groups by using Director to share tool and link access. Operating expenses are reduced by centralizing data monitoring with stacked Director systems. Each chassis provides 24 1-Gigabit network ports ten 1 Gigabit monitor ports and four 10 Gigabit network/monitor ports. Features include many-to-many link-to-tool mappings rate conversion and SNMPv3 support.
