What it does? The NLite E is NEC’s highly-innovative microwave radio that incorporates a Gigabit Ethernet interface enabling broadband, IP-based networks with advanced functionality, high speed and superior reliability. As WiMAX and Next-Generation IP-based networks gain momentum in the U.S., the demand for high-speed point-to-point wireless access systems continues to grow. NEC's NLite E was specifically engineered to meet these network demands. Built for high quality and reliability, the NLite E provides a compact, high-speed wireless solution that is easy to configure and maintain, and is available in frequency bands of 6, 11, 18 and 23 GHz.

What makes it Innovative? The NLite E’s GigE interface and proprietary transmission scheme enables NEC to offer throughput levels of over 150 Mbps within a 28 MHz bandwidth. The radio is compatible with various interfaces including 1000BASE-T (copper) and 1000BASE-SX/LX (fiber), allowing flexible adaptation to an all-IP network; which is critical for operator growth.

Targeted Users: NEC’s NLite E was designed for telecom carriers' backhaul networks, enterprise solutions and emergency networks. It offers a simple and highly reliable fixed wireless solution.

Satisfied Customers: Yes – An example of an NLite E customer is Sweden's largest operator, who has already implemented the NLite E (or Pasolink NEO, as it is marketed globally) to improve network quality and modernize its existing radio links.
