Product/Technology: Radmin Remote Administrator Version 3.2
Hardware or Software? Software
First Launched: Announced May 2008. First launched 1999.
What it does? Radmin is a secure remote control software to assist IT with desktop and server management. Radmin combines remote control, helpdesk components, and network monitoring in a single, integrated application, which is extremely fast, secure and robust.
Remote controlling desktops and servers at near full wire speeds, Radmin can be flawlessly integrated into the existing corporate Windows Security policy and it allows its own secure authentication for parts of corporate networks, which may not have centralized security configured.
System administrators can securely operate remote computers by troubleshooting the workstations and servers, launching applications, monitoring remote desktops, or communicating with remote users.
What makes it Innovative? Radmin is the first Vista 32/64-bit supported remote control software with Microsoft-signed hook drivers and support for Vista’s UAC, FUS, proxy/local activation server, multi-language support and Wine. Security includes Windows Security, 256 bit AES data encryption, NTLM/Kerberos and Active Directory. Authentication is substantiated by a modified Diffie-Hellman 2048 bit algorithm.
